Today started with maté and homework. I've got 2 tests and a presentation this week.
After writing a paper, making a new set of flashcards, adding to another set, and studying both set of cards I went to the beach to do karate. Lots of people stopped to stare and were very obvious about it. One guy sat down and sipped maté while he watched. A couple of girls asked me where I learned karate at. I don't think they'll be coming to the States to take classes, lol.

Day 51;
I had my first Spanish test today. It was hard and hopes aren't high. At least all I need is a passing grade. I studied hard, but I just don't think it was enough. It wasn't any new material, just reviewing grammar rules that I covered in classes back in the States.
Last night I spent some take taking proficiency tests online just out of curiosity. I was scoring A2 (novice high) or B1 (intermediate low) very consistently. Now, I tested into the B2 (intermediate high) class down here at my school, but I'm not sure that it was a completely accurate test. I need to be testing at a B2 (intermediate high) to get my Spanish degree. I need to be testing at a C1 (advanced low) to get my certification to teach it. Obviously I've got a ways to go and not much time to do it in. I take my tests in December. I've returned to playing Duolingo daily. Music is all in Spanish for the most part. Netflix is in Spanish. I'm watching grammar videos on Youtube. I'm still reading to myself every night. If anything my scores on the test motivated me to study harder while I'm here.

Today was another trip to another boring museum, but first was a book store! I browsed the children's section for quite sometime.

Day 53:
I got a 78/90 on my Spanish test!
Day 54:
Today it was rainy so I took the bus. My trip to school was fine. My trip home was an issue. My bus never arrived. After waiting for 40 minutes I picked one that had the right neighborhood on it and got off when it got close to home. I wound up about 3 blocks from my house, which isn't bad for somebody who's new to public transit.
Day 55:

Another boring art museum, Museo Blanes.
Did have a cool garden out back, but you could only walk around the outside.
Day 56:
I spent the morning making flashcards for my cultural competency exam in December. The study guide is 5 pages long, so I'm starting now. Afterwards I went to the beach and did kata. It was warm enough I wore shorts. When I got done and was putting my shoes on a man walked past me on the sidewalk. He glared at me and said something. He kept turning around and glaring at me as he walked away. It made me super uncomfortable so I quickly got my shoes on and left.
Hoy empezó con mate y tarea. Tengo 2 exámenes y una presentación esta semana.
Después de escribí un ensayo, hice tarjetas para estudiar Español, añadí tarjetas para literatura y estudié ambos grupos de tarjetas fui a la rambla para hacer karate. Mucha gente pararon y miraron y eran muy obvio de lo. Un hombre se sentó con mate y miró. Dos chicas me preguntaron donde yo había aprendido karate. No creo que ella van a ir a los EE.UU para clases, lol.

Tuve mi primer examen de Español hoy. Era difícil y mis esperanzas no son altas. Al menos solo necesito una nota de aprobación. Estudié mucho, pero no creo que era bastante. El material no era nuevo, solo un repaso de la gramática que aprendí en los EE.UU.
Anoche tomé unas pruebas de fluencia por curiosidad. Recibí A2 (novato alto) o B1 (intermedio bajo) constantemente. Recibí B2 (intermedio alto) en la prueba de mi universidad, pero no creo que la prueba fue exacta. Necesito B2 (intermedio alto) para obtener mi grado de Español. Necesito C1 (avanzado bajo) para obtener mi certificación para enseñarlo. Obviamente tengo mucho que necesito aprender y mejorar pero no tengo mucho tiempo. Tengo las pruebas en diciembre. Ahora juego Duolingo todos los días. Mi música es en Español la mayoría del tiempo. Netflix es en Español. Estoy mirando videos de gramática por Youtube. Todavía estoy leyendo todos las noches. Si nada mis puntuaciones me motivaron para estudiar más mientras estoy acá.

Día 52:
Hoy fue otra excursión a otro museo aburrido,. ¡Pero primero fue la librería! Miré la sección infantil para un tiempo.

Después fue el Museo Torres García. Él hizo los juguetes y pintó. Los juegues eran mucho más interesante de los cuadros.
Día 53:
¡Recibí 78/90 en mi prueba de Español!
Día 54:
Hoy está lluvioso y por eso tomé el bus. Mi camino a la universidad fue bueno. Mi regreso, no tanto. Mi bus nunca llegó. Después de esperando para 40 minutos tomé uno que dice Punta Carretas y bajé cuando estaba cerca de la casa.
Día 55:
¿¿¿Sabes dónde fui???
Otro museo aburrido, Museo Blanes.
Tenía un jardín linda afuera pero no puedes entrar solo caminar por el perímetro.
Día 56:
Hice tarjetas para mi examen de competencia cultural en diciembre. La guía de estudio tiene 5 páginas así que estoy empezando ahora. Después fui a la rambla y hice kata. Hacía caliente y llevé cortos. Cuando terminé y me ponía mis zapatos un hombre pasó en frente de yo por la acera. Él me fulminó con la mirada y dijo algo. Continuó a caminar pero doblar y me miró multiples veces. Me hizo muy incomoda. Me puse mis zapatos rápidamente y salí pronto.
